The Hummingbird Cottage is perfect for families with children. We are unable to accommodate young children or pets in the main inn (service animals excepted).

West Marin Stagecoach
Marin County Transit District will continue to provide Saturday service all winter between San Rafael, Pt Reyes National Seashore and other West Marin locations on the North Route of the West Marin Stage. Four morning and four afternoon trips run between San Rafael Transit Center and Inverness. There are no trips on the North Route on Sundays. Also, a great way to plan trips is to use the Bay Area www.511.org web site for linking bicycles to transit. Check this out or call the Bear Valley Inn for assistance.

INTERNET ACCESS:
Bear Valley Inn is Wireless throughout for those who wish to stay connected to the outside world.

CELL PHONE TIPS:
There is very little cell phone service here (you will mostly lose it after Fairfax). There is minimal Cingular/ATT coverage here and there are odd spots where you can get a Verizon signal. We have phones in the cottage and house where you can make long distance calls on a calling card.

DOGS:
Bear Valley Inn welcomes well behaved dogs in the Hummingbird Cottage with advance booking. There is a $20 charge for dogs. Please call for more information.

SPECIAL NEEDS:
Please call us if you have special needs and we will do our very best to accommodate them.

CANCELLATION POLICY:
Cancellations with more than 14 days notice are refundable less 10% handing charge (holidays excluded).
Cancellations with less than 14 days notice or for holiday weekends forfeit entire payment unless room is let.
If booking the entire inn a 30 day cancellation period is required with $20 for any changes to the reservation.
